Delta/Greely School District

Delta/Greely Homeschool

Monthly Contact:

State regulations require that families who are homeschooling must have documented contact with the school at least once every month.  This contact can be in person by visiting the school office, via telephone or email, or through a home visit by the Contact Teacher.  The purpose of the contact is to verify that the family is continuing to homeschool and has not moved or changed programs.  Contact should be initiated by the Home Educator (Parent) before the end of every month.

Progress Reports/Semester Grades and Work Samples

In the middle of each semester parents are required to complete a Progress Summary Report in Brightways which details the progress being made in each class listed on the ILP.  Work samples may be requested by the DGH Contact Teacher as verification of the level of work being completed for students who are new to the program or those for whome academic proficiency/progress is a concern.  Other students are welcome to submit work samples, but are not required to do so.
Each semester, parents are required to submit grades for each class on their child's ILP.  The dates when grades are due are included on the calendar.  Grades do not become final until the DGH teacher, as the official teacher of record, signs off in agreement with the parental suggestions.

State Testing

All students are required to participate in State assessments per state regulations.
Please see our state testing page for more information on state testing dates and practice tests.
