Parent, Staff, and Community Input Needed for Calendar Development

Dear Parents and Community Members,

Although school may feel like it just started, we are already ¼ of the way through this year, and it is time for Parent-Teacher Conferences. I encourage everyone to reach out to their school and arrange a meeting to discuss their child's progress so far this year. Early intervention is necessary to ensure we make the most progress this year. Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for October 2nd and 3rd at all of the schools.

All parents should have received a call, text, or email at 1201 pm today. If not, please check your contact information in PowerSchool or contact your school's secretaries. We made 2191 contacts in less than a minute. Our goal was to ensure that the system could do one mass communication in a short time period.

We are also looking for input on our school calendars for the 2025 – 2026 and 2026-2027 school years. We hope that by getting the calendars out earlier, we will be able to help families plan extended absences during times when we are not in school. This will also allow us to better schedule our sporting events to limit the impact in the classroom.

Please click on the following Google Form to view the calendars and provide feedback. Please complete the Google form by November 1st so your comments can be considered in the final calendar proposal.    There are two options for each year. We will review these on Thursday at the board work session and then again in November for approval at the School Board Business meeting. We value your input and welcome suggestions that will help to reduce chronic absenteeism in our schools.
